Being Made Useful to the Lord, Johnny Bhojwani I praise and thank the Lord for bringing me to the Full-Time Training. After spending over a year here, I can say from the depths of my heart that I have come to know the Lord in a more personal and intimate way. When I heard of the FTTA, I was amazed that there was such a place where young people could grow and develop in their spiritual life. I am really grateful to Witness Lee for having such a vision and establishing the FTTA where we, as young people, can be strengthened, enlightened and equipped with life, love and light in the Word of God. I graduated from Devry University in Irving, Texas, in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. I was then hired by American Airlines as a software developer and worked with them for close to two years. During this time, I got married and settled down into a very comfortable and happy life. My wife and I were making close to $75,000 a year and lacked nothing in terms of material possessions. Yet, within me I knew there was something missing. As a Christian worker, my wife spent her time on a college campus meeting with new and young believers, preaching the gospel, taking care of students and participating in Bible studies. Even though I had a great job, working nine to five with all the perks that come with a big corporation, I was quite jealous of my wife's occupation. Within me there was a burning desire to be useful to the Lord in this way, but I realized that I lacked the experience, diligence and knowledge. I love the Lord and His people, and I wanted to answer His call to Go therefore (Matthew 28:19), but I felt inadequate, as I was young in my spiritual growth. Eventually, I clearly saw my need for training in the Word of God, spiritual experiences, and the preaching of the gospel. This brought me to the FTTA. In my time here in the FTTA, the Lord, through His great mercy, has granted me many precious experiences that have helped me grow and mature in the divine life of God. Everything in the FTTA, from the classes to the daily duties, have played an instrumental role in my personal growth in the Lord. My time here in the FTTA has definitely, without a doubt, revolutionized my personal prayer relationship with the Lord Jesus. Through the books we have studied by Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, the Lord has been able to open up the Bible to me. This, in turn, has positively affected my prayer and fellowship with the Lord. I have been enjoying a close and intimate fellowship with God through prayer. I now see the importance of prayer in our lives. I can now really understand Watchman Nee when he asked, why do we work so much and pray so little when we can accomplish much more through prayer than by work? The Lord is making me a praying believer. As a result of such experiences, I have developed a care from the Lord for the building up of His Body. The one thing that the Lord has begun to show me, and continues to unveil to me, is the matter of His Body and our individual need to experience the cross and resurrection life to be useful for the building up of His Body. Day by day, the Lord continues to open my eyes to see His Body. As a result, my prayers have been changing from me, myself and I to The Lord, His Body and His Bride.
